Sarıyer Kilyos Tunnel Waste Management and Septic Tank Cleaning Services
The Sarıyer-Kilyos Tunnel is a 6.875 km long, double-tube, four-lane highway tunnel connecting Çayırbaşı and Uskumruköy/Kilyos, aiming to alleviate traffic in northern Istanbul. The project, targeted to open at the end of 2026, will reduce travel time from 35 minutes to 5 minutes and is integrated with the Northern Marmara Highway.

This project is a line integrated into a strategically important mega-structure.
During our term, the following operational processes were managed:
- Drainage and Vacuum Truck Operations: The tunnel excavation mud and bentonite-containing wastewater generated during TBM (Tunnel Boring Machine) operations inside the tunnel tubes were continuously transported and transferred to licensed disposal centers using powerful and technologically advanced Mercedes Axor and Mercedes Aktros vehicles and high-vacuum capacity vacuum trucks, preventing them from reaching the sewer and drainage lines.
- Within the scope of infrastructure and tunnel works carried out in the Sarıyer Kilyos Tunnel region: Muddy and chemically admixed wastewater resulting from TBM excavation activities is safely removed using vacuum trucks.
- During the works, combined vacuum trucks with high vacuum power are used to controllably remove accumulated slurry from drainage lines: collection pools, and within the tunnel. Full compliance with environmental safety, occupational health, and site safety regulations is ensured throughout the operation.
- Our teams working in the field are carrying out their duties with personal protective equipment: and the transportation of waste to the relevant disposal and treatment facilities is being carried out meticulously.
- These efforts in the Kilyos Tunnel aim to ensure the uninterrupted continuation of tunnel operations: reduce the risk of flooding, and keep the work area safe.
- Solid Waste and Garbage Management: Daily collection and transportation of domestic and industrial waste generated inside the tunnel tubes, in areas containing dining halls, dormitories, or administrative offices, and on connecting roads, using special equipment and vehicles, without jeopardizing high-speed traffic flow.
- Emergency Responses: Coordination of immediate sewer cleaning and disposal interventions to prevent environmental pollution after possible leaks or accidents.
- Occupational Health and Safety (OHS): Professional field operations carried out under high wind speeds and heavy traffic, aiming for zero workplace accidents.
- 24/7 Uninterrupted Service: Work operations are ensured with an uninterrupted and sustainable workflow based on a 24/7 (365 days) principle
